When the United Nations reached out after the launch of FOR Seasons, I knew the project would scale. I just didn’t expect it to go this far.

This time, we had a clear goal:
Put pressure on world leaders at COP26 as they were deciding on the future of our planet.

One of the key targets of COP26 was reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. So we shifted the project forward in time, reimagining Vivaldi’s Four Seasons in the year 2050.

And since the impact of the climate crisis won’t be the same everywhere, we asked the algorithm to create localised versions of the composition, based on geospatial climate predictions for each region.

The result: nearly 1,000 tailor-made versions of the composition, each depicting the climate in a specific region around the world in 2050.
All of them were made public, so schools, institutions, and non-profits could perform their regional version and remind their communities what’s at stake.

At the start of COP26, we released performances by 14 orchestras across six continents. From Sydney to Caracas, from the Maldives to Nairobi.

Watching hundreds of musicians around the world play something you’ve worked on for months, even years, is hard to describe. Let’s just say there were a few goosebumps.

And the concerts did make noise. Major outlets picked up the project, and even some politicians at COP26 noticed, sharing their support.

Not bad overall.
Probably should’ve quit right there, at the peak.
